ABOUT

A passionate performer, mentor, and teacher, Dr. Ronald Sat has over 20 years of experience teaching piano students of all levels. After graduating from the University of British Columbia School of Music, he pursued graduate studies in the US and acquired degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Cleveland Institute of Music. He served on the faculty of Centenary College of Louisiana and University of Texas Pan American as piano instructor.

Dr. Sat returned to the Greater Vancouver area in 2007 and began his own private piano studio. Under his dedicated teaching, his students have captured top honours and prizes in many local festivals, as well as being selected to participate in provincial competitions. In 2017, he founded the Pacific Chamber Music Academy (PCMA), a registered charity intended to promote his strong belief of lifelong learning through the art of chamber music. The Academy has continued to flourish and is now offering chamber music camps in winter, spring, and summer breaks, with a number of gifted alumni continuing to further their musical studies in prominent institutions such as University of British Columbia and University of Toronto.  This past summer, he co-founded the Schubertiade Salon Series at Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, featuring distinguished performers to champion the music of the great composer, Franz Schubert.

After living in the Tricities area for 10 years, Dr. Sat is relocating to the Fraser Valley this fall. He looks forward to sharing his musical insights, experience, knowledge and passion with new students in the area.

"Being Mr. Sat's student, you can also have many valyuable chances to see his considerable passion and virtuosity in piano performance"
